A Burning Death

My face starts to burn,
But your head doesn't turn.
I start to scream and cry,
And yet, you keep on walking by.
It hurts so bad I drop to my knees.
Looking at you, out of my mouth comes one last plea.
I finally fall to my side in pain.
Hardly looking at you, my energy starts to drain.
I feel cool tears glide down my burning face.
Your face leaves my mind without a single trace.
All sounds fade from my ears.
Slowly, I feel no more tears.
My heart beat gets slower as I lay.
I'm not waking up anyday.
