You.

There’s a lot more than meets the eye,
There’s more to him than what they think,
He’s charming
Endearing.
Amazing.
He’s so complex.
Unique.
Yet my heart sings for him.
I pause and glance and he does too
There’s something lingering between us.
He moves a little and I move too,
He’s hesitant and I as well.
I smile and so does he,
I feel color hit my cheeks,
I hope he doesn’t notice much.
He sways toward the door,
I long for him to come this way,
But he won’t.
He never does.
I want to just call for him, have him close.
Then they come around and before I know it, he’s gone.
He’s out of sight.
The what ifs are in my head,
I think about him again, I hope he comes around soon.
I don’t think they see as I,
I don’t think they see what’s behind
His eyes.
They hold the truth.
His lips.
Those hold the key to his world.
There’s more to him than what they see.
I see him for what is real.
