Gary's Poem

He doesn't want to close his eyes in misery.
For that last time to be in agony.
The fight goes on, to keep his heart beating.
His last dying wish, he's never achieving.
Can't get freed from the dark, no one knows how.
There's no chance for him now.

Time is up, there's no cure.
How much more will his body endure???
She holds his hand, he can't let go.
He looks into her eyes and now she knows.
He loves her so much, she is the one.
His hand has loosened, dropped.
Just like his life, it's gone.
Whispers in the dark... says:

She awakens the next day.
Still can't beleive he's gone away.
She remembers a note he gave her.
It was resting by the table.
She picked it up, what did it say???
To find out, there was just one way

"Don't cry for me, don't die for me
I don't want your tears or sympathy.
The way I lived was killing me.
I've closed my eyes, I am free".

She sat in silence, in the dark.
Her emotions were scarred, just like her heart.
But like the note said, not a tear fell.
Her life stayed with her, But she felt unwell.
Since that day, she never cried.
Her tears, never fell to be dried.
Never spoke, but kept her loves dying want.
She can't stop it, but he is gone.
