Farewell, And Good Night

I don’t mean to whine,

But it’s hard not to say

Of all the games these mind’s made up;

Of all the tangled ways

Because it’s just today’s weather;

And the climate that stays.

Maybe when we wake up, it will be better,

Rise the sun, when it may.

Perhaps I’ll only miss sleeping,

When my mind is devoid;

Perhaps the memories worth keeping,

Smothered in the Nightmare’s bleak ways

Restless for leaving,

Wings itch to take flight.

A chest’s shallow heaving;

Farewell, and good night.
