I’m going to bed now
And I’m wishing you were laying next to me
Feeling your warmth
Falling asleep with you.

I know it would start out with you holding me,
It always does.
But I know it isn’t comfortable
For you to sleep that way

In your sleep
You might push me away,
You might distance yourself from me
You might even push me off the bed.

But I don’t mind.

It is enough for me
To just know you’re there
To wake up with you by my side
