Autumn

Red fills my wondering gaze
Orange flies past my eyes
Brown touches the ground around me
The cold fights the image given

A brisk gust grazes my neck
My spine dislikes its cold
I remember the time before
Of never ending warm alone

The crack of a twig beneath my feet
Beside the boots the dust is hidden
Weak leaves reach out instead
To brighten the dark earth

I must leave the small haven
Snow will push me away
Trying to remember the hues
I walk from the face of Autumn
