Would it be out of line to say I love the sound of your voice?
Or that I could spend the day just listening to you talk?
If I could say what's on my mind would you take the time to get to know my heart?
A thousand things I'd love to tell you if I could only find the words.
Would it be alright if I told you that when you're around I can't find the voice to speak?
Or that when I see you I have to stop to catch my breath>
If I could for a moment explain the things I don't understand would you give me the moment I need?
I promise could find the words if you would give me the chance.
Would it be absurd if I told you I understand?
Or that the pain is only temporary?
If I told you it was something we had in common would you give me a chance?
You're like a jigsaw puzzle I never have all the prices to.
Would it be obscured if I told you all the remember whens in the far corners of my mind?
Or If I said that each one brought a smile to my face?
If I told you I remember every threat and taunt and tease would you smile along with me?
I'm trying to see all the pieces clearly, but the box is taped shut.
Would you understand if I told you that it's all a fluke?
Or if I said that a lot has changed?

I know I could peal back the tape and open the box, but I need your help first.
Would it shock you to find out that you're what's on my mind half of my day?
Or that when you say "hi" to me in the hall it makes my heart skip a beat?
If I told you that I constantly hope for one conversation what would you say?
There's an awful lot you're seemingly oblivious to.
Would you tell me your secrets if I told you mine?
Or if I held on for dear life would you lend me a hand?
If I confessed all that I could would you help me put the puzzle together?
I'd be happy with just your friendship, I'd secretly wish it was more, but hey no one finds their soul mate when they're 10 years old.
