Don't Worry

People hurting
Crying, bleeding
Masking it with
Their smiles
Hiding the pain
Behind the grin
As the bear it
My arms
Reaching out
Pleading
I want to help
But am pushed away
Told not to worry
Quiet, naïve
Young, foolish
I know nothing
There is nothing
Nothing to worry about
For all their cries
Are heard only by me
And yet they tell me
Not to worry
So I cry, too
