Holocaust

1930:

Blood runs dry
Behind these vacant eyes
Why must I die
Because of one selfless lie?

My face, completely still
Life taken against my will
My body, completely cold
To the devil, my soul was sold.

Lifeless body hung up high
None of the people who pass by
Ever care to even wonder why
... All too scared to even try.

1942:

12 years later, we fast forward
Going down a path we'd never go toward
Hundreds of people killed each day
Hope slowly starts to wither away.

"Help us! Help us!" people frantically yell
But noone helps, just drowns them in a well
So much blood, more death that I could tell
But this is only the beginning of our inhumane hell.

People in agony, agony from being burned
"Hey, kid, now its your turn."
The pain, the fear, you can't help but start to run
10 seconds later, you are shot in the back by a gun.

1945:

15 years later, we move even farther
Not getting any easier, only getting harder
Noone dares to try to be a matyr
Noone wants to deal with life being bartered.

We are all done with pretending
Like our life won't be ending
A blessing to be dead
Too many tears have been shed.

We stand in line for the extermination crew
We stand there because theres nothing we can do
Except pray to our Gods, hope we get through
All of this happened, because we were born as Jews.
