Silent Restraints

People who are provided the use of words
Attack you with them in herds
They don’t realize the power of judgment
Their prejudgment
That is spoken is like a punch to your soul; breaking your world to pieces
Leaving a puzzle with the pieces increasing

They block your words off
Replacing them with the thoughts they cough
Treating you like a dog with a muzzle
Silencing you; making it impossible for you to nuzzle
Maybe today is the day I’ll decide to stop being quiet
Maybe today I’ll start a “riot”

I aspire to be impossible to ignore; to be heard
Much like the sweet melody of a bird
Life is too short to stand back without a few moans
You better believe, I’m not thinking alone
When I say, “War will start between who I have been
And how I am morphed by them”

Silencing me is like me being constrained
Putting who I am in restraint
My own restraints will push against yours
So hard, yours break loose and allow me to explore

And when that happens, just remember
A second from it coming in, and it you will be dismembered
Because honey, I don’t only become unforgiving I become persistent
Though right now I’m being resistant
Better watch out for a WWIII
