Time's flying
and I can't seem to catch up
It's passing me by with a slap in the face

Childhood is over and you've gotta say goodbye

I'm starting to feel the weight of it all
Feels like everything is crumbling down
crushing me into tiny bits of confusion
as I lay feeling helpless in my pit of despair
The weight of it all has no mercy
Please, please, please I beg.
No, no, no, it says.

Little birdy has to leave it's nest soon
but it doesn't yet know how to fly
The view from the tree looks so terrifying
Everything is so big out in the real world
The dogs are mean and the cats are vicious
Little birdy, little birdy, fly away, now.
