Apparition Girl

all the windows are open
even when it snows
so you can climb right in
without issues posed
cuddled in my blankets
3 a.m., losing sleep
restlessly awaiting
the faded girl that i keep
and when you drift in,
i can smell your perfume
i can feel your skin
and see you light up my room
dead girl, dance upon me
be swift like a knife
i approve of your performance
did you waltz in your life?
what a depressing end
for a girl your age
but death has been kind
for you aren't encaged
though you rot underground
forgotten by the world
i await you each night
my apparition girl
