Dandelion Dreams

Hush
Inhale and
Breathe

A cascade of ivory
Snow petals
Miniscule faerie beings
With Dandelion wings

Scurry and
Hurry
Until all
Are gone
With the wind

Drifting and falling,
Promises
Come undone
By the seams
From the stems
Of ever-green dreams

A field
Of falsity
Of hopes
I could hold
A blanket
Or cotton-white
Wishing flow’rs
Just waiting
To fall undone

Gone with the wind,
Dash it all,
The hopes
The Dreams
Every ‘I wish’
That could have been

Instead I shall lie
A bold faced liar
Whose eyes are shut
Who does not wish to wish,
To try,
Lying once again
Only amongst
Dandelion hope
That was never mine
To win.
