Heart Monitor In Heaven

I hung myself at twenty-two,
but paramedics brought me back to you,
now i float between the lines,
trying to cross-step these land mines,
it's a difficult world with a fragile heart,
so now i wave and there dies a certain part,
of what is barred inside my chest,
which i spill on these pages my very best,
i know my best can never be good enough,
you may watch from the side lines but believe me it's tough,
living two lives both half alive,
it's no game we might not survive,
everything's wrong when you're lead along,
in my shoes singing my song,
at the end we're all just passing through,
with a heavy heart and a brief shiver just for you,
on this old picture we are but dust,
dead and gone we leave behind this picture's lust,
we blow in the wind like autumn leaves,
stealing love like romantic thieves,
from the girl with gold in her veins,
we see beyond the body and the brains,
to the angel that lies within,
free from hate no matter where she's been.
