The Wine Glass

Life is a fragile thing
It can have meaning
Or it can just bring
The sorrows out
Just scream and shout

The world is ending
Never mending
Always pretending
Breaking, not bending
No saving, only spending

Time wasted being sad
When a good time could have been had
And when a life could have been spared
Knowing that somebody anybody cared
A little love, they could have shared

And the moonlight glistening on the lake
Knowing that he or she is not fake
No masks, no tasks
No mysterious cloaks, no suspicious folks
Everyone is who they say they are

If only that were true
The world is filled with lies
Filled with robbers, filled with spies
Filled with guilt in their beautiful brown eyes
Filled with hate and filled with dispise

The world is a scary place
A scary man with a scary face
Hiding in corners, then just waits
Waiting, waiting, pacing, waiting
It's dark, the moment comes and their teeth are grateing

Little children skipping through town
Getting kidnapped and not being found
Being alone, afraid- weighing but a pound
Darkness blocks the light crawling around
Wailing and weaping are their only sound

Cooped up in a cage by the man with the hood
Like animals, pets, not like they should
That is very bad, that is not good
I feel I should help, but how could
The world turn better, oh I wish it would

I wish and I dream
I cry and I scream
My blood and my tears
My pain and my fears
They are all parts of me

The world may be a pain in the ass
But life is like a thin wine glass
Do not throw it, do not pass
Be careful with you crystal glass
Cause life is a fragile thing
