Forgetting

A foot step imprinted,
In my throbbing, enervated heart,
With past it is tinted,
Dahlias crimson woven with art,

A tapestry springing ,
From delicate threads woven of mind,
I can hear its soft ringing,
Round my soul trepidation will entwine,

Cadged the angst gentle beats.
Within the music of my seared veins,
Empty words, hollow streets,
But I cant seem to dust my remains,

Wipe the frail slate pallid,
Forget is to achieve impossible,
Memories sing ballads,
Past so implausible,

Disillusioned, detached,
Flashbacks whirling behind itching eyes,
I’m an empty shell patched,
Clockwork stops fighting my stale allies.
