Orange

Orange
-Kennedy Convery

Sunset orange lighting the room
Perfect peace on the outside
But on the inside
Complete and dire destruction
Birds outside, calming reminders
To keep things in order
But this is just a fantasy
Inside
Thoughts tearing at her emotions
Anger, confusion, and depression
Caution signs placed everywhere
Questions mocking in the early mornings
But the answers are lost
He's here one minute
Gone the next
Like hummingbirds at a feeder
Mysterious appearances
With no explanations
Murderer still on the loose
That took away part of her life
