light

i try to write now
but the words will not come
i call to them softly
but still they run
i yell out towards the moon
who is always my guide
but her face has turned
a darkened tide
one without hope
or return of her light
and now my heart shatters
the remains take flight
this broken heart soars
to a place filled with peace
and i finally write
the words flow swift
healing my heart
as the blessed moon
gives back her light
