Danger Line

I hid in the thick bushes
Humid air made me
Breathe in deeply,
Suffocating from fear
Of being mangled like a car wreck

But my mind wonders on
Cherishing good memories
Sweet family atmosphere
Forming my own personal smile

I miss it still.
Fighting for my country
Is an honor inside of itself?
Constant growling stomach pains
Makes my mind clouded with dizziness

A loud nose
Gunshots being made in the distance
Or so it seemed
Blood began to trickle
Down my torso pooling
Into a puddle of blood
I felled back
Lifeless in the scenery
Of bombs exploding into grand fireworks
My heartbeats hammering against my chest
Deafening tones of hearing
I died for my country.
