The Good Ol' Days
The best part of growing up was the freedom
The days were always filled with fun
As kids we jumped in mud
And played outside until we couldn't see the sun
We played with dolls or cars
And we played till we made a fuss
We could do whatever
No one would judge us
When I was a kid
Everything was so simple
We were so innocent and pure
Right down to our dimples
Life is complicated now
We never listened to the warnings
Now we are teens
And we hate mornings
The days were always filled with fun
As kids we jumped in mud
And played outside until we couldn't see the sun
We played with dolls or cars
And we played till we made a fuss
We could do whatever
No one would judge us
When I was a kid
Everything was so simple
We were so innocent and pure
Right down to our dimples
Life is complicated now
We never listened to the warnings
Now we are teens
And we hate mornings
