I've Made the Swap

I can feel his eyes on me as I walk,
He moves into step beside me and starts to talk.
We talk about school, we talk about friends,
We talk about how we bug each other to no end.
It's time for school to end, so I tell him good-bye,
He hugs me close and looks like he's going to die.
"How am I supposed to live without my girl,"
He asks me as he gives me a twirl.
"Sorry, babe, but you'll just have to deal,"
And I can't help but think, Is this love real?
He gives me a pout and kisses my lips,
I'll never want to forget this.
We separated and went our different paths,
This summer will face our wrath.
We meet up in secret, our favorite place is the park at night,
It's such an amazing sight.
We'll get into fights, clothed in black,
My parents will want their innocent daughter back.
Nails and clothes, painted black, hair dyed red and blue,
They day is boring, nothing to do.
So, I'll text him about our devious plans,
It seems that our actions have given us fans.
We raise hell, every night,
We won't give up without a fight.
We've done so much wrong, but see if we care,
We do a lot, that many wouldn't dare.
Many call us 'bad ass',
But it's like we're walking on broken glass.
He and I, we'll do such much tonight,
And we won't stop until we see the morning light.
Though I'm only thirteen,
There is a lot I have seen.
He's fifteen, and he's helping me through,
And you have no idea the things he's teaching me to do.
We work as one,
Until the world comes undone.
We see the pain, we see the suffering,
And we've seen the torture many can bring.
We're against quite a few things, but those things don't matter,
I can hear my head filled with idle chatter.
The voices in my head, beg me to stop,
I've given up my old life for a better one, I've made the swap.
