We Are the Forgotten

Forgetten are we, the ones which fade,
We are the ones who sink into the shade,
We are the ghosts of shadows of days,
of our pasts, setting in stones our dismay.
We are forgotten tales of honor and rejoice,
Forgotten from time, lost in materialistic choice.
We were once shrouded by mysterious breath,
Yet now only to be analyzed to death.
We are forever tainted by lips and pages,
tales growing more distorted through ages,
Abandoned by society without faith or trust.
Based upon whores, money, lust.
Past times and memories all do reflect,
Only to be exposed to much more neglect.
Our webs and dust, collected amongs the bones,
waiting to be found; only ignorence has grown.
We are the ones who warned of horrors in our wake,
To save the people we now forsake.
