Perfectly Imperfect

She tries to hide the scars behind long sleeves.
He tries to hide the depression from his friends.
She is yearning for affection.
He is searching for a hero to walk in and save the day.

They think she's perfect,
They think he's perfect.
But they can't hardly take it in,
That they have their own imperfections.

All she wants to do is disappear.
All he wants is another chance.
Why can't you just see?
See the way they need a change.

She can't be herself,
He's always pretending.
Can't we just understand,
The things they go through?

So just open up yourself,
To maybe understand that your perfect,
Perfectly Imperfect.
Just like everyone else.
