Love is Louder

Whoever first said that words do not bring pain
Needs to seriously rethink that statement once again.
The pain felt from a harsh word last for years,
Not to mention the countless tears.
I wish that everyone would see what I see,
If we only spread love-what a difference that would be!
I know it may seem hard now, it will pass in time.
Every rose has its thorn, every lemon has its lime.
(Now you may think that last line did not make sense,
Okay, maybe it didn't but the poem was getting tense.
If I just made you smile, that's enough for me.
And if I did not, well I will have to think of other things more witty.)
As I was saying, life is a fragile thing.
It is our job to continue smiling and to sing!
For there are many things in the world that make us sad,
But when we share LOVE..the world doesn't look so bad.
So stay strong, and know that I care,
And I always will-this I swear!
When you're feeling down and want to quit,
Remember, somebody loves you-Don't forget it!
You're beautiful, special, and one of a kind,
And you can change the world with the power of your mind.
So let the harsh words of others dissolve into the air like powder,
For there's one thing you should never forget: LOVE IS LOUDER!
