To, Little Man

Hey, little man, would you wait for me?
I was bound in chains, but now I'm free!
I can follow you around and wish on the stars,
Be like a plague upon the trains and the cars..

The moon and it's waning is calling for us
And now that I'm free, I'm starting to trust.
You're brother is like me, we share the same dreams.
We plan, and we plot, and we discuss our schemes.

He joined me when I was drafted to fight.
He read me old stories deep to the night.
But then he said you betrayed me before
And that you had bound me originally more.

I was arrested for speaking out on the truth
I know what I believe, and so do my youth.
We conjured up a plan to show them what's real.
No political correctness could describe how we feel.

Now I see, and I understand.
I thought I knew you, little man.
But now that my chains have been removed,
I'll beg my pardon for being so rude.

Your brother helped on all of this
And to top it all off, he gave me a kiss!
Now listen to me, I have something to say:
Prepare to die if you don't get out of my way.

It's been four long years since I've been freed.
I gave you my word, but you didn't take heed.
Oh, little man, awaken your soul!
Death is upon you, and it wants to eat you whole.

I know what it's like to be enslaved.
But your brother and I have both been saved.
There's a power out there so deep and divine,
And I'll do whatever it takes to make it mine.

Little ones, please, lift up your voice.
We're still in hiding, but we have reason to rejoice.
We'll recreate right here in these hallows,
Where forests are deep and rivers are shallow.

Hey, little man, I thought you'd wait for me,
Now that there's no chains and I'm free.
Following you around proved my dreams to be small.
But the trains and the cars have gotten me through it all.
