Just Another Bullet

The wind is stricken,
tossed and turned,
as the deathly weapon reaches for it’s goal.

The destination falls.
Tumbling to the ground.
It was demolished,
but its not unused.

How could this be new?
It happens all over the world,
everyday the goal is destroyed,
the destination no longer prevails.

As the birds fly towards the south,
reaching for the warmth,
the salvation from this deadly winter,
they are shot.

As the bullet strikes,
another life is lost.
But it’s just another bullet.
Who cares if you are shot down?
searching for a future that no longer exists.

The tears of your death fall from the sky.
Trying as hard as they might,
the water tries to wash away the blood,
the death pooling from your body but it’s...
Just another bullet.
