They left to fight our war

Another widow cries alone
Another father won't come home
Mothers, fathers,sons and daughters
Tonight we send them to their slaughter
They left their home to fight OUR war
But we forgot what they're fighting for
The guns are blazing
The bombs are falling
We are protesting
We are apalling
These men and women give their lives
These men and women pay the price
Tonight the soldier dreams of his son
While he sleeps tightly with his gun
This is why he's here tonight
So that is boy might never fight
And if he dies on this black night
He'll go calmy in that white light
