Everlasting Rain

I look out the window and see pouring rain
Try to see what I could possibly gain
Look for my future but end in vain
I think I’m possibly going insane
Pull to a stop get off the train
Then fly away from my fears on a plane
Find an outlet for the pain
So I can be myself again
Happiness I can’t maintain
Let alone obtain
You left a burning stain
An imprint inside of my brain
Happiness forever slain
Although I can’t complain
A look of never ending disdain
So I lean on the window pane
Staring at the falling rain
And you take over my brain
No longer will complain
No more look of disdain
A loving stain
Returns again
Happiness no longer slain
No longer an everlasting pain
I can obtain
And maintain
A happiness that’s sane
I get off the plane
And return to the train
My trip was not in vain
I’m no longer insane
I have seen my gain
All from staring at the rain
