Corner Lies

She lays in the corner of a room full of peer
The only place where happiness was one of her biggest fears
All you saw was the hair pasted to her face
For it was tears that kept it in it's place

She hated them all because they were happy
The one thing she taught herself she could never be
But would one smile really kill them all to see?
Maybe

We see a flash at her wrist
A place that will always remain blood kissed
The place where her best friend meets her skin
Only numbing her from within

She says she's not miserable being alone
But is it really that healthy to be on your own
Her silent hell is one I see every day
She is dying to hear that everything will be ok

She always is saying her wrists are covered in shame
But she's the only one to blame
Cutting is her way to cope
But is there really no more hope

So I look in the mirror and see me
But the person I explained before is what everyone else see's
But theres more to be then being what people view
That Is all she wishes they knew
