Nowhere

Empty, as I lie, upon this decaying field
Waiting for the treasures that time shall yield
My eyes burn with the light of the sulfuric sun
Darkness soon overtakes me as my eyes begin to run

Shadows flare up and enter my hollow sockets
Inviting death to enter my soul into his grim locket
Allow me to drink from the crimson in your heart
Just to reveal these fangs and tear it apart

Become like I, the hollow sleeper in this field
Opening my wounds that had once healed
Just to watch my inner light seep into death’s chalice
And pour onto this desert like paint upon a canvas

Our winged friends can soon come and pluck us from the ground,
And throw us aside, like a withered rose they had found
Then there we lie, broken and forsaken,
Waiting for the day where we can truly awaken

Then the darkness can reside upon my face
All these shadows can look at their continual disgrace
For then their words can banish me to nowhere
And perhaps then my inside the nothingness can lare

Empty, as I lie, upon this decaying field
Waiting forever for the nothing that time shall yield
Waiting for the nowhere to consume me whole
And take away my blackened soul.
