Abused;Raped;Saved

Silence fills the room,
She sucked in a breath, he would be there soon.
The clock struck midnight,
And she let out a gasp of fright.
Her door slowly opened to reveal a man,
A beer bottle held loosely in his hand.
She froze in fear,
She knew if she screamed, no one would hear.
He drew closer to her, the floor boards let out a creak,
Tears slid down her face as she let out a terrified shriek.
He covers her mouth with his hand and pushes her on the bed,
She cries out as he puts a pillow over her head.
"Please, stop! Please," she sobbed, tears in her eyes,
"Shut up, you worthless girl!" his voice was filled with drunken spite.
He tore her night gown,
And threw it to the ground.
He had his way with her until the sun shone,
She cried her tears, thankful he had gone.
It continued for days,
He'd abuse her in every way.
She prayed to God at night,
To take her away from this life.
It was night again,
Time for her step-father to commit his sin.
She cried again, but didn't make a sound,
She knew she would never be found.
This time he came with a knife,
Fully intent to end her life.
He held her to the bed,
She knew she was dead.
She held back her tears,
And buried her fears.
She heard banging, someone running up the stairs,
Who could that be? No one cares.
The door slams open, a police officer is revealed,
He shoots at her step-dad, his fate now sealed.
She prayed to God, to be saved and to walk away,
And now she lives a happy life, from day to day.
