A Sleep that Never Comes

You know that one type,
The one you love, you can not lie.
That type that makes you droop,
And fall asleep in your soup.

That type where you fall so hard,
That type that almost leaves you scarred.
Trying once again,
For that sleep since then.

That type that takes you by surprise,
Everyone can see it in your eyes.
That type that you want now and then,
Oh this type should be a sin.

A deep deep sleep that quiets the world,
In this bed is where I'll curl.
A sleep sp peaceful I'd never give up,
On finding that sleep that never comes.
