My Last Letter To You

They say, you win some you lose some, but do i have to lose so much?
I keep driving for the gold but I feel so out of touch.
Why do I win, but it feels like I really lost?
Can I get someone to love, without all of the exhaust?
Is that too much to ask? Cause it's not too much to say.
I put my heart on the line for you, but you just want to play.
But hey, I guess it is what it is.
You acting like a soda without all of the fizz.
Pushing me away, acting like you can hardly talk
You're another flightless bird talking all that squawk
two-bit and two-faced and too laced, in all those lies
Changed your face cause you caught a couple of eyes
Well I, I've been there for you since day one
I treated you like a gangster treats his gun
Treated you like a mother treats her son
And you treat me like I'm some form of scum, uh
I don't deserve this
Why would you ever go and desert this, and hurt this?
I know I'm not worthless.
I'm worth more, more then your car with a dent in it's door
more then you girlfriend that acts like a whore
And I'm definitely worth more then you could ever be
When you finally open you're eyes, I know you'll see
You'll be the one pacing this stupid room
You'll be the one filled up to the top with gloom
You'll be the one trying to figure out what to do next
Calling up some girl, asking for some sex
But you know, you'll never forget about me
I'm rooted in your heart like a maple tree
But the Beetles say just let it be
But I say Lord just don't let it be me
Not again
