I wish I could rip out a page of my memory,
But this is just another part of my broken, old story,
So I’ll just put on one of my smiles,
And look back a few hundred miles,
Take a ride on this gold, fancy train,
There’s no stopping me from visiting memory lane.

I’m back into a single digit,
Without a thought I would always admit it,
There weren’t any thoughts left on the waiting list,
I was colour blind but the grey mountains didn’t even exist.
It was white or black, black or white.
I was running as fast as the speed of light.

Falling back into the teens,
Amazing, we thought we were all the most gorgeous queens,
Pretty in pearls,
Mature, classy, but never stopped being one of those fun, carefree girls,
Changing my sneakers into six inch heels,
Looked much better than how it feels.

None of those memories would’ve ever existed if it weren’t for the last,
The feeling of happiness after misery would always surpass,
A journey is not a journey,
Without battling it out on court like an attorney,
Like a story isn’t a story,
If I rip one page out of its glory.
