I Never Realized

The moon lies in a bed of stars
Filling the void
With its white light.

I never realized
How lonely it looked
Until I
Felt the solitude of my own life.

Loneliness comes easy
Especially in a crowd
Of bright stars.

When you shine differently
Than the others do
That’s when you feel the loneliest
And shine the brightest.
