This Is War

This is war.
I've got my weapons of mass destruction.
You've got your heart of steel.
And those painfully fascinating eyes;
Boring into my brain.
You don't need weapons.
You need love.
I've long since closed off, but those eyes,
Those caring eyes made me open.
I've crawled out of my hole and found that the sun does shine.
You let me into your barricaded heart; sacrificing the key.
I've found love.
So I put away my weapons of doom to let you into mine.
The war will come later; just don't break my heart.
