High School

Blinking blankly at the open air
All it is, is dead and bare
The wind wisps as your shiny hair
And all your wounds begin to tear

Your vibrant eyes
So innocently staring
Hungry for answers
And searching their words

The biting lies
So acidic and burning
They rip your eyes
With a helpless yearning

Those bloody smiles
And all those sins
Begin to take their toll
And they tear, all the flesh
Off your dying soul

I loved you once, upon a time
But fairy tales and dragon scales
All have fled and gone
Never to return again
A fading slow paced song

You smiled at me
With your dirty cheeks
But all of that has changed

Your eyes are blank
They hide your pain
But love of hate they can't explain

I miss you now
And think of how
Everything used to be

All I have is questions
All I have is lies
But the one that is really jammed in my side
Is:
Why Did You Go To High School?
