Soulless

You’re just a pair of eyes
Lips without a smile
Skin that’s wrapped around a void
A shell attached to strings

Ears that can’t bare sound
Of my name to be forgotten
Your arms can’t bare to hold
All the memories gone rotten

A mouth without a tongue
Your sight without a sun
The mind you had would race
Your words would die to run

Your heart without a beat
Your life without a breath
Your words without a meaning
Your mask is all that’s left

Your colour without a pigment
Your songs without a drum
Your season without dark and snow
Your games that make you numb

Your bones that bare the flesh
My words could pierce your skin
We’re losing all these stupid games
We’re breaking from within

Your fingers bare the letters
your heart could not withstand
The lack of light, and all those fights
And now we both are damned

Your vision is a blur
Your walls are closing in
No matter how you want and try
You’re never going to win

Your left within a world of dark
You live in written word
So long as memories do not burn
Your existence is absurd.
