My Guardian

I open the door,
always knowing I'll never see her again,
her aura no longer roams the hallways of this house,
I miss her purring,
the sound of the scratching on the coaches,
I remember her face, her fur
I remember how she used to love
exploring my room,
She scared all the demons,
even the rats ran away,
I remember how she slept on my bed with her tail curled,
She dealt with my sister,
with my brother.
But I'll never feel safe in my room,
without my dear cat.
She shield me from the demons, from the nightmares under my bed,
I wasn't scared to leave my room at night,
nor was I ever alone.
I miss my cat, my friend,
My Guardian.

I'm fourteen but yes, I do fear demons under my bed. But one day we got a cat. A wild cat. She was white with about four black spots. We called her Manchitas which is spanish for "stained" or "spots". With her around I wan'ts scared of the darkness, or monsters in my closet or under my bed. She gave birth to four beautiful kittens but SUDDENLY my brother and grandma got allergies. So now my dear cat is with this kind rich white lady who is probably giving the best to my friend and her babies. But now I wont dare stand by my bed nor do I go to the kitchen/bathroom at night. It's hell, really... not being with my cat...
