Hard to Stay Innocent

Looking all around,
Not happy with what I've found.
Leaves me constantly disappointed,
Pretending to not be so corrupted.

They say I'll be fine,
Making me sick of the repeated line
Working so hard to resist
Bashing something with my fist

Trying to live a normal life
And not give into my desire
Of stabbing someone with a knife
Or throwing them in a fire

But it's hard to stay innocent
After we learn that people are translucent
