Ocean's Song

The ocean sings a song
only mermaids can hear

It tells of a hope unknown,
a peace unreached

on this green earth
beyond our blue sky

The waves crash,
making a rhythm

the shells brush
against each other
setting the tempo

The wind translates
the beautiful melody
of the ocean memories

Locked deep under the water
beyond what we can imagine
let alone where we can go

It keeps it's secrets closely
to the bottom of the ocean
