Prism

You’ve figured that white is unoriginal
Blue is too delusional
Black seems too light for you
I know you ache to try something new

Why would colors be only in your mind?
When they’re everywhere
They’re so easy to find

You think green is too cozy
Pink is too showy
Orange is too polite for you
I know you seek to try something new

What you need is a prism
To break apart the colors
To shatter the spectrum

Violets and purples are too flowery
Reds are too flowing
And, yet, grey is, too
What color could be right for you?

And so you’re left
Without the key
Is there even color left
Or will you never see?
