I'm A Contradiction, Marry Me.

I am about as happy as a bird in a cage, with clipped wings.
I'm as happy as a whale with no song to sing.
I'm utterly hopeless like a clown with no sense of humor.
I'm everything I shouldn't be, and at best I'm everything you wanted to be.

I'm not eager nor excited I'm not anxious or frightened.
I'm as apathetic as a tree with no breeze.
No room to dance, not enough room to breathe.

I'm not waiting for anything, I'm waiting for everything.
I'm waiting for time to turn back even though I know it cannot.
Impossible things from an insufferable little girl.

A sad response to obstacles that she could not tackle.
I am about as happy as a bird in a little wire cage,
No freedom to move, just a ball, a chain and clipped wings.
