Hello, Sun

Too much time has forced its way,
Between the now and then,
You've been in hiding fast away,
But I remember when,
You blessed the world from mount to port,
Softened with cute warmth,
Shining rays that dance, cavort,
Spiral back and forth.

An eternity of winter grey,
Forced cold hibernation,
Coaxed out by merry May,
Returning to your nation;
Eager trunks and BBQs,
Rations of sun cream,
Left by pools with empty shoes,
That wither at the seem.

Radio sings a fitting tune,
Plays with gravity,
Floating like I'm on the moon,
Depraved of depravity,
Here in this orange box,
Twisting turns and bends,
Over the grey snake fox,
Who's colour it depends.

Cupped hands, your palms touch,
Chilly cheeks that swell,
Prickling the rounded sides as such,
And squeezing them as well,
As feelings rush to other parts;
Forearms, legs and hands,
My brain dissolves and comes apart,
I melt into red sand.
