An Evening at Home
A small family sits in peace,
Enjoying the company
The children are playing,
Our parents are chatting
An argument breaks out,
Between mommy and daddy
It's time for me to run,
I know what's coming
I hide in my room,
My own little corner and my own little chair
I hear daddy yelling,
Items bang against the stairs
Covering my ears,
I pretend I'm somewhere that's not here
Every night this is how things go
This is an ordinary Evening at Home
Enjoying the company
The children are playing,
Our parents are chatting
An argument breaks out,
Between mommy and daddy
It's time for me to run,
I know what's coming
I hide in my room,
My own little corner and my own little chair
I hear daddy yelling,
Items bang against the stairs
Covering my ears,
I pretend I'm somewhere that's not here
Every night this is how things go
This is an ordinary Evening at Home
