Friends?

sea spray brought with the wind
sun pouring down
sand beneath your toes
waves crashing against the sound

waiting for you to notice
what i see in you
for the ight to reach your eyes when you smile
and the way you smile when my eyes brush past you

its confusing and unsettling
yet it the safest haven for me
watching my every move
sad when somebody else helps me

but we're stuck,
like a fish without water,
or a picture without color
we're stuck, waiting for one another.
