One Wish

I gazed into the star strewn sky,
As something glimmered and caught my eye.

A star shot off into space,
A thought-filled look spread across my face.

"What should I wish for?" I wondered aloud.
The answer still I haven't found.

Perhaps this is because there's nothing more,
That I could possibly wish for.

I have my friends, my family,
My grades are good from what I see.

There are those little things that make my day bright,
But no wishes for me; I'm alright.
