Tragic.

Same old story
Every time.
The one that lies,
the one that cries.
You learn to expect it.
You learn to forget it.

After months and months,
you just become numb.
You can't help it.
Normal reaction.
That's just how it goes.

Something happens,
your mind changes.
You think this will work out.
You believe them.
So stupid.

They're just so perfect.

You think you're in love.
The rumors start.
You can't believe them.
You just believe him.
He says he loves you.
It can't be a lie.

You give them everything.
All that you have.
Because they must be telling the truth.
Right?

The rumors go on.
He slept with your friend.

Who can you believe?

Two months later,
the rumors don't subside.
You begin to feel
like he's the one that lied.

You let it go,
you gave him your all.

He's just so damn perfect.
He has to be worth it.

You learn the rumors were true.
He lied to you.
You should have known.

So stupid.

Feels like your heart
is torn to pieces.

Old scars covered
by brand new cuts.
The old habit is back.

All those months of being numb,
never getting hurt.
Those were left behind.
For a risk like this.
You thought he was worth it.
You thought he was perfect.

He was your best friend,
now you can't stand to see him.

Relationships ruin it all.
With so many lies,
they won't be there to catch you
when you let yourself fall.

You learn not to believe
in anything.

Because nothing is real,
nothing is true.
Nothing will ever be what it seems.
The truth is something
made only for dreams.

Happiness? As if.
The lies always ruin it.

You try to be numb,
but all you get is pain.

Not even the music
can make you okay.

And now you remember
what you had forgotten.

Never trust,
never love.

It's great when it begins.

But it all comes back to
them fucking your best friend.

Tragic, isn't it?

That this is never real,
so just ignore the love you think you feel.
Because love only happens in fairy tales.
