Lost In Your Eyes

By your side I stood still,
awed by this sight.
We were walking down a hill,
surrounded by fading light.
/
We talked and laughed,
and talked some more.
Too bad our time was halved,
and our feet were sore.
/
We sat down by the water,
and we rested on the rocks.
The day had grown much hotter,
as we shared another talk.
/
You just could never see,
you would never understand.
I was staring out to sea,
and my toes were in the sand.
/
My heart kept beating,
a drum going to war.
With pink my cheeks were beaming,
as you made me laugh once more.
/
This feeling is intoxicating,
you just won't leave my mind.
Since that day I can't stop singing,
with you, I'm happy, I find.
/
I'm not saying I'm inlove,
and I'm not saying I'm not.
I know I'm no angel from above,
I just maybe like you alot.
/
If only you would know,
the hopeless look I give.
When I cross your eyes, gleaming so,
it's a new reason to live.
/
You give me hope,
for a better tommorow.
I've burned all of my rope,
and accepted my sorrow.
/
When I'm done with the pain,
tell me boy, would you see;
A summer day, shine or rain,
hand in hand with me?
/
What do you say,
are you up to this ride?
We'll come out to play,
there's no need to hide.
