Ode To Autumn
That season of intermission
As summer's heat cools.
The whispering wind blows the leaves.
They dance around my feet.
Colors of red, orange, and yellow
Beautiful to behold.
Also the name of a girl
With raven hair,
With a smile that could bring joy
To all who gaze at her.
Her beauty, like the season
Surpasses all others.
Although not as hot as summer,
Nor as frigid as winter,
Neither as blossoming as spring,
Autumn enters in with beauty and grace.
As summer's heat cools.
The whispering wind blows the leaves.
They dance around my feet.
Colors of red, orange, and yellow
Beautiful to behold.
Also the name of a girl
With raven hair,
With a smile that could bring joy
To all who gaze at her.
Her beauty, like the season
Surpasses all others.
Although not as hot as summer,
Nor as frigid as winter,
Neither as blossoming as spring,
Autumn enters in with beauty and grace.
